Shayda McCurdy joined the Rapid Access Clinic (RAC) as the new Advanced Practice Physiotherapist in March 2018. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters in Physical Therapy in 2009. She has worked in Ottawa, Toronto and Thunder Bay. Her most recent posting was at St. Joseph’s Hospital as the float physiotherapist. She has taken many post-graduate courses since graduation in an effort to deliver quality and efficient patient care.
Shayda has an appreciation for the “big picture” of health care costs and how changing access to care in one area can affect health care delivery in another. She is excited about her new opportunity with RAC to help decrease wait times, increase patient access to surgical care, and to provide patient education.
